FEDERAL SURVEY CARDS –Federal Survey Cards will be distributed tomorrow, Sept. 5, and is due the following day. Please thoroughly complete the survey in ink, include your signature, place the survey in the envelope and have your child turn it in to his/her teacher. Schools are required to turn in a completed Federal Survey for each student. A special incentive has been planned for the grade level that turns in 100% of the survey first.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS – After school programs will begin this week (except Robotics and Coding). Due to the overwhelming interest in Grades K-2 programs, we added two Arts and Crafts classes and adjusted singing to once a week. A change for Grades 3-5, the Ukulele class meets on Mondays and Wednesdays. All programs are full. Students on the wait list will be notified if a space becomes available for the program of choice. We are happy to say that 53% of our students are participating in after school programs!

After school tutoring will also begin the week of September 4, 2018.

PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES – Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Monday, October 29, 2018 thru November 9, 2018. Conference request forms will be sent home today, September 4, 2018.  All forms are due to your child’s teacher by Tuesday, September 17, 2018.

DROP OFF/PICK UP SYSTEM – The morning drop off and afternoon pick up area is in the loading zone in the front office. Remind your child to be waiting by the loading zone area if utilizing this pickup area. Do not park your car in the loading zone area and wait for your child there.  If you are waiting for your child, we ask that you park your car in a marked stall. Please do not park in an unmarked area or drop off in other areas because it will disrupt the flow of traffic or create an unsafe situation. Also do not park on Kapaloala Place alongside the rock wall fronting our school. It blocks the narrow roadway and creates an unsafe situation. Thank you for your cooperation.

WORDS TO PONDER – “A hundred times every day, I remind myself that my inner and outer life depend on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am still receiving.” By Albert Einstein
